Auto Body/Exciting Career
Sep 18th, 2006 at 9:58am

Hi, my name is Donnie Smith.  I started working on cars when I was a kid by helping my older brother and dad work on vehicles as a hobby.  Later in high school, after repainting my first car in my auto body class is when I first experienced a desire to perform auto body as a career.  While in high school, I acquired a job in the body shop at our local Chevrolet Dealership.  After remaining passionate about this profession I decided to attend WyoTech’s Collision/Refinishing Program in Laramie, Wyoming.  After graduating WyoTech I started my collision career.

Currently, I teach Auto Body Repair Technology at a community college.  If anyone has any questions about auto body repair feel free to contact me.

Hey everybody, I'm Jenni. I love cars, Corvettes specifically. I make it kind of a hobby to try and keep up with new models, and recognize different cars. I also like to see custom work done on a car. This year I started the Auto Body Cert. program at Butler Co. Community College. I don't like to see cars all banged up so one day I'll help fix 'em up.  People say I'm artistic and I hope to bring that to it as well. My eventual goal is to own 1 or more 'vettes and to work on them myself.

Hey everybody I'm Cody this is my first year at Butler Community College. I have always had a big interest in cars. My dad rebuilt cars on the side while working at Cessna and got me and my brother interested in it. He taught us what he knew but i wanted to learn more. So I decided to go get a college education in the Collision field.

Hi my name is Andrew and i started to take up an interest in cars when i was about 12. My first car was a 1968 Chevelle that a bout when i was 14. When i got the car it was nothing but a rust bucket, so i started to sand down the body on it and finished the rest wit two other guys that knew more about cars. I have also taken interest in muddin', hunting, fishing, and several other activities.

Hi my name is Devin, I recently started in the Auto Body program through Butler CC. My interest with vehicles actually goes all the way to motorcycles as my grandpa restore antique motorcycles, and I have always had a niche for work on anything with an engine. So i figured why not walk a steady path. I hope someday to be able to open up my own shop that does a little bit of everything, I am more interested in the customization aspect then the restoration. I would like to be able to do it all and not be limited by my failure do what it takes to get where I want to be. My current project is my 2000 dakota that is bagged, and here in a couple of months i'm going to Washington to pick up my dad's 53 chevy truck that he is giving to me. The person I have most to thank for starting me off in this direction would have to be my mom, she has always allowed me to work on her cars without fear of me messing anything up, so she has been a great influence on keeping me heading in the right track.

Hi, my name is Austin Newman. Im tall dark and handsome. I love long walks on the beach and kissing in the rain. Oh wait this isn't E-Harmony. In that case, I go to Butler CC and I am enrolled in the auto collision classes.I am a big fan of Cheverolets and motorcycles. I currently own each. Right now I through my collision class I hope to obtain the knowledge it takes in order to repair and restore my 1993 Chevy Silverado. Its only special because it was the first Chevy my grandpa brought home (unfortunately he was a ford guy). My main goal right now is to graduate Butler CC with an associates degree and move on into the exciting career in auto collision repair.

Hello all, Richard Sauro I have always enjoyed working with my hands, tools, taking things apart and reassembling them even at a yopung age. When it Junior High "dating myself" my guidance counsler told me the the high school that I would be attending offered Auto Body, well I just had to checkit out. The rest was history I actually had an after school job in 10th grade and was on co-op junior and senior year.

I remember making the desision to try to be the best repairer that their was, not with an ego I,m the best more as a way of insuring the commitment to work hard at doing and learning it all.

Currently I am working as a Collision repair instructor at Madison Park technical Vocational High School Bostons only vocational school. I really enjoy working with young people who enjoy the trade, I work really hard to inspire them to have passion and strong work ethic for school and any challenge they face.
