Repairs and maintains mechanical systems on customer vehicles. Diagnoses problems, recommends repairs, and replaces or repairs parts as needed. May specialize in a specific vehicle line or mechanical system, such as air conditioning, suspension, or driveability. Uses electronic equipment for diagnosis and repair research and uses power and hand tools for vehicle repairs.
