Collision Industry Job Descriptions: INSURANCE group

This group’s main function is to provide payment for repairing damaged vehicles.

These jobs deal with the costs and funding for collision repair work.

Insurance companies collect premiums for insurance policies that share the risk among all their policyholders. It is a contract for payment in the event of a loss.

To oversee repairs for proper payments, insurance claim departments write or review damage estimates, coordinate other bills (rental car, towing, etc), and approve payments.

There are many specialty jobs involved to have a proper system of managing costs and providing payment.
