Description

Helps to clean, re-stock, and deliver parts as needed. Assists counter, inside, and outside sales in getting the right part to the right place. May keep the store clean, put away new stock, take inventory, pull orders, or deliver parts as needed.

 

Personal Characteristics and Skills

Must enjoy working in a store and warehouse environment. Have self-confidence, pride in work, and good hand-eye coordination. Be physically fit to lift, bend, and carry parts and materials as needed. Must have patience and be willing to constantly learn.

 

Job Outlook

As an entry-level position, this is an excellent opportunity to start in the automotive repair industry. As people advance to more professional positions, openings become readily available.

 

Pre-Employment Education and Experience

Math and reading are necessary to understand and work with the varied tasks in this position. Reading instructions and tracking inventory items both require these basic skills.
