Description

Researches and develops technical procedures, publications, and course material for manufacturing personnel and dealership parts departments. Obtains and interprets information from engineers, manufacturers, and vendors to develop class, on-line, and media material. Organizes material and develops instruction according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.

 

Personal Characteristics and Skills

Must enjoy writing and research. Must be able to follow directions, have patience, and work as a team player. Attention to detail, good typing skills, and knowledge of computer software are important.

 

Job Outlook

The need for current technical information and curriculum development will increase as new technologies keep advancing. Instructional materials are an important part of educating personnel on new materials, technologies, and marketing programs. Good, qualified people will always be in demand.

 

Pre-Employment Education and Experience
