Responsible for assigning tow truck operators to service calls. Receives towing requests, prioritizes needs, and allocates equipment. Keeps track of all on-going service calls through completion and stay available to assist tow truck operators as needed. Documents service calls, work, and communications.

As the vehicle population increases and ages, accidents and mechanical breakdowns are inevitable. The need for prompt and efficient towing will continue to increase. An efficient dispatcher is a critical part of the process.
Pre-Employment Education and Experience
Math, reading, and computer skills are necessary to manage all the operations necessary in the process of efficient towing service. A high school education is expected with post-secondary education recommended. Prior customer service experience is important.

Starting salaries may be around $30,000 in smaller businesses and up to $50,000 or more in larger ones, based on overall performance.
