Description
Responsible for all aspects of rental car location, including sales, personnel, facility, fleet maintenance, and inventory. As a corporate or franchisee employee, the manager is responsible for increasing sales, controlling costs, and overall profit. Develops and executes marketing plans including advertising, growing corporate accounts, and customer follow up.

Must enjoy working with people, numbers, and sales. Must be outgoing and have good communication skills to work in a sales environment. Must be creative and work well with people, both customers and employees. Must be a self-starter to find new business opportunities.

Pre-Employment Education and Experience
A college degree is required with advanced education recommended. Prior sales experience is preferred and an automotive business background is a plus.
Earnings
Depending on location and size of business, earnings may start between $40,000 and $50,000 and increase as sales increase. Benefits may include insurance, pension plans, and holidays.
Career Path
This position can come from outside sales experience, but prior rental car business experience would be given preference. This position can lead to additional location responsibilities, management, or business ownership.
