Collision Industry Job Descriptions: Customer Service Expeditor

Description

Coordinates special customer requirements in regard to product needs. Interacts with sales, marketing, production, warehouse, shipping, and order processing departments. Ensures timely scheduling and delivery of product orders.

 

Personal Characteristics and Skills

Requires good reading, math, and computer skills. Must have good writing, communication, and organization skills. Must be comfortable working with phone and electronic communications.

 

Job Outlook

With a large variety of current materials and customers, special circumstances and problems will always disrupt the smooth flow and delivery of products to customers. This specialized position will always be in-demand.

 

Pre-Employment Education and Experience

High school education required with post-secondary education recommended. Experience in office, warehouse, and delivery environments is needed.

 

Earnings

This is a specialized position, requiring some experience and knowledge of the departments involved. Starting salaries can be expected from $25,000 to $30,000.
